In 2016, Andrew served as one of the field directors for Donald Trump's campaign in Virginia, a role that paved the way for his subsequent six-year tenure with the Virginia House of Delegates.
During that period, he refined his strategic expertise and played a pivotal role in securing electoral victories at every level, including commonwealth's attorneys, boards of supervisors, delegates, state senators, school boards, and commissioners of revenue. In 2019, he launched APL Consulting, further establishing his reputation for delivering measurable results on the campaign trail.
A recognized leader in integrating artificial intelligence into political strategy, Andrew developed a proprietary GPT model designed to enhance direct mail communications and overall campaign effectiveness. As a Senior Advisor to the National Artificial Intelligence Association Advisory Board, he writes about the role of AI in modern political campaigns and cautions against overregulation, cementing his status as an innovator at the nexus of technology and politics.
Before becoming a national political consultant, Andrew honed his skills in local politics in Arlington County, Virginia, where he served in key leadership roles such as Chairman of the Arlington County-Falls Church Young Republicans, Chairman of the Arlington County GOP, and Chairman of the 8th Congressional District Republican Committee.
A native of Charlotte, NC, where he learned the value of hard work by contributing to his family's small business, Andrew continues to champion conservative values and innovative strategies that are reshaping the political landscape. He resides in Northern Virginia with his wife, Emily, and their black lab, Lucy. When not on the campaign trail, he enjoys cigars, boutique stationery, and living and dying with every play of the Denver Broncos during the NFL season.

Angela Chellew
Angela Chellew brings deep legislative, political, and campaign finance experience to Assembly Strategies. Having served on a number of political campaigns, she understands the structured strategy and daily operations of winning campaigns, and she knows what it takes to get successful results.
Angela went to work for Americans for Responsible Leadership as their Grassroots Liaison in September of 2012. After a successful campaign, she served as Political Director to now State Senator Bill DeSteph on his first campaign for the Virginia House of Delegates. In 2018, she joined the McDonnell Group as an associate to former Governor Bob McDonnell, working alongside his sister, Maureen McDonnell, where she served as a Business Development Associate and top fundraiser for the company.
She served on the board of the Virginia Beach Young Republicans as Recording Secretary and is currently an active member of the Republican Party of Virginia Beach and Chesapeake. With a wealth of experience from campaigns and the Virginia General Assembly, she has played a pivotal role in shaping and executing key initiatives throughout her political career and is known for her exemplary leadership.
Angela is originally from Imperial, Missouri. She currently lives in the Great Neck area of Virginia Beach with her dog, Evie.

Matt Stroud
Matt serves as Director of Business Development at Assembly Strategies, where he helps campaigns, organizations, and businesses grow through strategic partnerships, creative problem-solving, and business development. He is passionate about building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and helping clients turn bold ideas into lasting success.
Before joining Assembly Strategies, Matt spent more than a decade in television development and production, serving as a Development Executive at NBCUniversal and producing projects for The Hollywood Reporter and Wilshire Studios. His work took him across the country, from the swamps of Florida to the Arizona border with the U.S. Border Patrol, and the sound stages of Universal Studios. Those experiences shaped his ability to tell compelling stories, lead complex projects, and connect with people from all walks of life.
Today, Matt combines that creative background with an entrepreneurial mindset to help clients strengthen their brands, grow their organizations, and expand their impact. Whether working with a political campaign, nonprofit, advocacy group, or private company, he is committed to building meaningful partnerships that deliver results.
Matt lives in Thousand Oaks, California, with his wife, Kristin, their daughter, and their Springerdoodle, Oreo. He is also a partner in his family's coffeehouse and roastery in the mountain resort town of Idyllwild, above Palm Springs, where they air-roast specialty-grade coffee. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, climbing mountains, and investing in his Catholic Church community.
